THIS WAS TOO EASY! I Thought Samurai Swords Were Sharp !

“I thought samurai swords were supposed to be sharp… this was way too easy for one of my edges. Next time I’ll have to line up 10 or 15 of these, because going through one just wasn’t enough.

Today I sharpened up the Hoback Quichette — basically a katana-machete hybrid, or a short katana — and brought it to one of the sharpest edges ever put on a blade like this. The steel is 154CM, taken to 5,000 grit on bonded diamond stones, then finished on a diamond emulsion strop at just half a micron. The result? A razor-like edge that cleanly cuts through anything in its path.”
