The handle is designed with textured bone and steel bolsters, and it features a drop point D2 steel blade. To deploy the blade, the bolster is pushed up, and to release the lock, the bolster is pushed up again. Although the Trapper has been around for a long time, CobraTec added modern features to this knife with the hidden release auto mechanism.
