This new OTF knife is impressive

Link: https://bit.ly/tekto-spry. Let’s talk about the the Tekto A5 Spry. This OTF knife was released a couple of months ago and is a redesigned version of Tekto’s classic Spry model.

It starts off with a S35VN steel blade available in dagger, drop point, and tanto (my favorite). S35VN means good corrosion resistance and edge attention for a tough blade that can handle more humid environments (like good ok’ Michigan aka where I live).

The handle is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum which means it’s not only strong but it’s lightweight and non-corrosive. The handle is full of precision machining that adds “grippyness” but also is super attractive. There are some really unique angles on this handle that are mighty purdy. Furthermore, it’s ambidextrous (yay lefties), has a deep carry pocket, and features a glass breaker on the tip.

You do have to apply a decent amount of pressure on the switch to deploy the blade which lets me know it’s going to be safe in my pocket. That being said, The thumb ramp on the push button is very ergonomic and it feels very comfy deploying even with the tension needed to deploy.

I can tell that a lot of thought was put into this OTF model. This one comes in black and green.
