My first experience with Sniper Bladeworks happened in 2018 while I was working for Blade Magazine - that was the first time I got to hold their LPC model and experience a very unique knife handle experience. The “Pistol Grip” is a shaped and contoured to lock into the hand similarly to a firearm's grip, aligning the user's wrist and placing the blade at an optimized forward angle for cutting. This handle DNA is found on many of the Sniper Bladeworks models - including the one in this video the MAMU. It is designed by former SWAT sniper and current knifemaker Lance Abernathy.
The MAMU Survival knife is one of those knives that feels quite indestructible. It’s thick weighty (.2 inch thick) and bear-fighting ready lol. A lot of survival knives will throw a “bowdrill divot” on the handle just because it’s trendy, but the divot on this actually felt comfortable to use as a handhold.
This MAMU design has been out for some time, but they are re-releasing it in Mossy Oak Bottomland special edition on kickstarter. Its an organic fit because the designer of the knife used to rock a lot of Mossy Oak in his bowhunting years.

-Steel: SK5
-Overall length: 11.68 in.
