What makes Good Hunting Knife?

Today I got to check out the Old Timer Sharpfinger. This is a classic skinner silhouette, made in the USA at only $104. Since skinning Knives are not my area of expertise, I asked my community of hunters what attributes they look for when it comes to hunting and skinning Knives to my surprise, one of the top-voted answers was someone acknowledging this exact knife model.
The most common answer I saw was that the knife should have a long slicing belly - The upswept trailing point on the Sharpfinger provides just that on a relatively compact knife size.
Curved slicing bellies are really important on skinny Knives because they provide more edge in comparison to the overall knife length. The curved arc on this blade also allows for easy gliding.
This knife also has a precise tip that can be used to control fine cuts, but it’s also pointed upward which can help prevent accidental puncture on the hide or organs.
The best part, it’s a made in USA knife for $104. You just don’t see that every day.
Made with 1095 steel which takes a Wicked Edge easily in the field (but make sure to keep it clean and dry because the high carbon content will cause it to rust). The bone handle adds to the classic look of this knife, but the texture on it also provides more grip. I would like the corners of the handle to be rounded out a bit more, this is something I could easily do myself with a file or sandpaper.
