One of my favorite folding designs of 2025 just came back in stock and was on the floor for people to handle at Blade Show West 2025. The Auxiliary Manufacturing pocket Bowie “Deadhead Folder” knife is one of those knives that you have to hold to appreciate. The handle surprisingly ergonomic, and it has a really unique overall aesthetic. The designer, Michael Jarvis drew inspiration from a traditional Bowie knife silhouette. He elongated the upturned clip point on the blade, and there is ergonomic contouring on the handle. OEMed by Miguron, there are little Easter eggs, like the hidden lanyard hole in the back spacer. The fit and finish on this is top notch, and the micarta inlays are flushed beautifully against the milled titanium frame. One of the coolest folding designs this year! Retail is $299. If you prefer the silhouette and a fixed blade style, that one is $99.
