Today I am using the GiantMouse JAGT to explain why some knives may have a larger curving belly. This is typically found on hunting and meat processing knives. The large curve gives the knife more slicing edge in relation to the overall length of the tang.
This folding knife was made specifically for hunting. It has a bright orange handle, which would make it easy to spot during meat processing. It has a modern type Nessmuk blade shape. The Nessmuk was named after George Washington Sears, also known as his pen name “Nessmuk”. He has thought to have been the origin of the Blade shape.
The concept of a folding hunting knife it’s pretty interesting to me. some people may not like this because it might seem difficult to clean. This runs on ball bearings which makes the deployment exceptionally smooth, but I would love to also see this model on washers which would be easier to clean.
