Tiny Knife kicks ass
Published: 1 month ago
The Merino MM from PepperWool.com. It did surprisingly well for how tiny the Blade was. It’s only 1.5 ounces, .35 inches thick with a clip point blade that’s measured at 2.1.
This compact design went through rigorous testing in its design phase to prove that it could handle tough conditions (they go into more detail about this on the website).
You can’t feel it inside the pocket, and it can even fit inside the tiny “fifth pocket” found on many pairs of jeans. The designer of the Knife had a strong vision and that was to create a powerful tool that was unobtrusive to Carry.
The titanium nitride finish on the Cryo S35vn steel held up well and did not show any signs of lawyer after the tiny through several pieces of wood.
It has an ambidextrous bar lock mechanism and blade kick deploy which is streamed line against the handle well enough to feel unobtrusive. The access point for the lock bar mechanism is very grippy and placed well so that the knife fills intuitive and left and right hand.
As for cons, it is a compact knife so it is not going to fill the hand. If you have large hands, it could potentially feel awkward (especially if you don’t have experience with smaller knives). I would also love for there to be multiple color options. I personally am a fan of the midnight blue/white combo and the pops of lime green but I’m sure others might want more neutral tones.
I’m still getting a hang of how the G10 on the handle feels. There is texturing but it feels very unique to me and perhaps I would not mind a little bit more texturing. I’ll have to carry it a while longer to figure out my opinion there.
