A Non-locking Knife?

Published: 4 weeks ago

Anyone own a double detent knife? Though not recommended for heavy use, this nonlocking knife is very fun to play with. This new premium model from CRKT is a Richard a Rogers design with just the right amount of tension to release the double Detent for closure. With msrp 275 it’s definitely on the steeper side of things (this is one f their premium models). Very unique and compact little blade that is very fun to play with, I was trying to see how fast I could open and close it within 10 seconds ha. I am not always a fan of the super dense Damascus, but it looks really good on this blade imo. This knife definitely falls into a unique category of its own- a little gentleman’s knife with a functional blade shape, but not intimidating for something like around the office carry. Compact, snappy, and appropriately named “Pup”. Details and specs below:

Via CRKT website: “This slip joint version of the Pup takes knifemaker Richard Rogers’ simple-is-better approach into ultra-high-end territory. It’s the same unobtrusive everyday carry that slides easily into a pocket or purse, but now outfitted with a Super Dense Twist™ Damasteel® blade and stunning titanium handle with carbon fiber inlays. Despite its size, Rogers worked to ensure the blade deploys just as quickly and smoothly as a larger knife thanks to IKBS™ bearings and a carefully positioned flipper tab. The slip joint gives it a satisfying, traditional feel that knife enthusiasts know well.”
