Is Knowing the OEM Important? - 2 New Giantmouse Knives - Tipsy & Biblio XL

I check out the new Giantmouse Tipsy and Biblio XL in Denim Micarta. One OEM'd by Reate Knives of China and one OEM'd by Fox Knives of Italy. You can see and feel clear differences in the build quality and execution. Whether good or bad, I am curious if you think knowing who the OEM is, is important? It helps me decide whether to buy something or not if I am being totally honest. Certain OEM's have a stamp of approval I would not question spending my money on, others it feels more risky to spend on. In the end they are all Giantmouse knives and I believe that is what GM wants us to think of them as. This is a struggle for a company who uses multiple OEMs as I am far too familiar with.
