Correction: The oil sucker rod wood comes not from the casing of the well, but from the rod that sucks the oil out of the well, as the name would suggest.
This was a parts knife, or Special Factory Assembly, made for the 2014 Rendezvous. It was of 8 made. With its superb construction, classic design, rarity, and great handles it makes for an awesome knife. I'm glad I was able to pick it up to give to my dad.
