Correction: I was incorrect about the pins. According to this article, which I hadn’t seen before making the video, all Gateway series knives have covers / handle scales held on by epoxy. The pins on the models with flush pins are primarily aesthetic but also serve alignment, while the pins on models with domed pins are entirely aesthetic.
