$40 vs $65 Work Sharp Sharpener — Is the Elite Worth It?
Published: 1 week ago
???? Welcome to JuhVon's Knife Flicks, your go to spot for honest knife reviews, EDC picks, and budget blade finds!
Need a quick, reliable way to sharpen your knives at home or on the go? Today I'm demonstrating the Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener Elite, a compact portable sharpening system with interchangeable diamond plates, ceramic honing surfaces, built in angle guides, and a leather strop.
I'll show you how I use it to touch up two Case slip joint knives, including my technique for maintaining a consistent 20-degree sharpening angle, refining the edge, and removing the burr. We'll also compare the standard $39.95 Guided Field Sharpener with the $64.95 Elite package, which adds 400 and 800 grit diamond plates and a carrying case.
Is the Elite upgrade worth the extra money, or is the standard sharpener all you need? Let me know in the comments!
