My buddy Ryan Ellis put his Benchmade Bugout S30V through some serious punishment, and the results surprised both of us! Originally purchased as a lightweight casual EDC knife, this Bugout became his primary work knife after some unexpected experiences with his Spyderco collection. Today, I'm using the TS-PROF KO3 SE sharpening system, AxiCube angle finder, and TS Prof's Alpha resin diamond stones to restore its heavily worn edge to a sharp, dependable 20-degree working edge. Along the way, we'll talk about real-world edge retention, sharpening technique, and why this little Benchmade earned Ryan's respect!
