Winter Blade Co Severn | First Impressions & Deep Dive

Hey guys, I’m Jevon, and welcome to Jevon’s Knife Flicks!
Today we’re taking a look at one of the most unique production knives I’ve handled: the Winter Blade Co. Severin. This one came to me thanks to my local knife buddy A-Z EDC, who picked it up directly from Winter Blade Co. and was kind enough to let me check it out.
The Severin is a titanium frame knife with an M390 blade, and it brings some seriously unusual technology to the table. Winter Blade Co. has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of knife design, and the Severin is another great example of that philosophy.
One of the coolest features is the Stealth Lock / dual-lock actuation system, which lets you actually watch the mechanism work through the opening in the handle. The knife also uses a spring-based deployment system, giving it a subtle assisted feel while still allowing the blade to fall shut like a manual knife.
And then there’s the magnetic, reversible thumb stud. You can move the stud to the opposite side, but with the large blade hole, you can also easily deploy the Severin with a thumb flick or middle-finger flick.
The action is incredibly crisp, the detent is excellent, and the blade absolutely screams through material. The Severin has a tall, thin-ground M390 blade, a large forward finger choil, and extremely thin cutting geometry. This is one seriously slicey knife.

The Severin is a larger-hand-friendly EDC knife with a surprisingly thin profile, excellent ergonomics, fantastic cutting geometry, and an action that feels completely different from most production folders.
Winter Blade Co. continues to prove that there are still ways to make folding knives genuinely innovative. From their automatic designs to spring-activated knives and unique manual mechanisms, Bryan Winters is clearly thinking outside the traditional knife-design box.
If you enjoy unique EDC knives, M390 knives, titanium folders, innovative knife mechanisms, premium production knives, and unusual locking systems, the Winter Blade Co. Severin is definitely worth checking out.
