Don't Buy the Kizer Militaw 315 Until You See This
Published: 5 days ago
???? Welcome to JuhVon's Knife Flicks, your go to spot for honest knife reviews, EDC picks, and budget blade finds from a guy who actually carries and uses this stuff!
Today I'm taking a detailed look at the new Kizer Militaw 315, a more compact and EDC friendly version of the original Militaw. This premium folding knife brings together some seriously interesting features, including Elmax blade steel, Kizer's Clutch Lock, aluminum handles, QuikSwap magnetic scales, and a clean, nearly sterile blade design.
The Militaw 315 is designed by Jonathan Styles and is part of Kizer's Bladesmith Series. My version features a satin-finished Elmax blade, Shipwreck Camo carbon fiber Quick Swap scales, and Kizer's adjustable Clutch Lock. Other versions are available with different blade steels, handle materials, and lock options, including a top button actuated liner lock.
One of the coolest features is the Quick Swap Scale System. Like the Kizer HALO, the Militaw 315 uses magnetic removable scales that allow you to change the appearance of the knife without completely changing the knife itself. The clip also mounts from inside the handle, helping give the Militaw 315 an exceptionally clean exterior with very few visible screws.

The Kizer Militaw 315 is extremely close to the size of a Benchmade Bugout, making it a very comfortable size for everyday carry. At approximately 3.3 ounces, it also stays right around that one-ounce-per-inch ratio that I like to see in an EDC knife.
The Elmax blade came extremely sharp from the factory and has shown excellent slicing performance without needing any stropping or sharpening. Combined with the thin blade geometry, deep-carry clip, comfortable contoured handle, and multiple deployment methods, this is a knife that feels much more premium than its price suggests.
At around $159 MSRP, I think the Kizer Militaw 315 offers a lot of knife for the money. Premium blade steel, multiple lock options, aluminum construction, Quick Swap scales, excellent action, and a very EDC-friendly size make this one of Kizer's more interesting releases.
If you enjoy Kizer knives, EDC knives, Elmax steel, pocket knife reviews, knife sharpening, and honest gear reviews, consider subscribing and sticking around for more knife content.
