Today we're taking a detailed look at the Olight PLX Tactical Light, a compact dual-beam light designed for EDC and rail-mounted applications. With up to 1,200 lumens, a 22,500-candela spotlight with a claimed 300-meter throw, and a powerful floodlight, the PLX gives you two very different lighting options in one compact package.
In this video I go through the mounting system, 1913 and GL rail compatibility, adjustable positioning, USB-C charging, battery indicator, momentary and constant-on modes, brightness selection, strobe, and the difference between the flood and spotlight settings. I also share my first impressions after mounting and using it, including why I particularly like the flood setting for close-range illumination.
If you're looking for a compact EDC tactical light, a rail-mounted flashlight, or a versatile dual-beam light from Olight, the PLX is definitely worth a look. This is my first look and hands-on overview, so I'll continue putting it through its paces and see how it performs over time.
