Today we're diving into another knife modification project as I give my Spyderco Smock a completely new look with a set of custom scales I picked up from my buddy Bugsy at Blade Show.
In this video, I'll walk through the scale swap process, install a new backspacer, work through a few unexpected challenges, and show off the finished result. Things don't go exactly according to plan, but that's part of the fun when you're tearing down and rebuilding knives.
The final look turned out fantastic, with translucent custom scales that completely transform the personality of this already iconic Spyderco design.
