Today we’re unboxing the new Benchmade 940-04 Osborne, complete with Benchmade’s brand new premium packaging and a rugged denim micarta handle. This version brings M390 blade steel, dark copper PVD accents, the classic AXIS lock, and that iconic reverse tanto profile, making it a true “working man’s 940.” I compare it to my longtime 940 and 945, break down the ergonomics, materials, weight, action, and why micarta changes the whole feel of this knife.
