Boker Solingen Burnley Barlow BFF Stonewashed AEB-L Green Micarta Fixed Blade 120505

Details

Custom knife maker Lucas Burnley (Kwaiken, Kihon, etc.) takes his 'post-tactical' design aesthetic and applies it to the traditional Barlow pattern to deliver the Boker Barlow BFF fixed blade. The Barlow BFF is as practical and utilitarian as the original slip joint while offering the added strength and reliability of full tang construction. Discreet to carry and use with a timeless style, the Barlow BFF makes a perfect daily carry. This version comes with a blasted and stonewashed AEB-L stainless steel blade, green canvas Micarta scales and brass hardware.

Brand new, direct from Boker Solingen.

Blade: The saber ground clip point is strong and versatile for nearly any task. Cryo treated AEB-L offers a great balance of performance while being easy to maintain with a wear hiding blasted and stonewashed finish. A subtle guard before the sharpening choil lets you know when you are getting close to the edge.

Handle: Contoured canvas Micarta handles are warm and comfortable in the hand with solid traction, securely attached to the full tang via brass pins and a hollow lanyard tube. The neutral Barlow-style handle is well suited to multiple grip positions.

Carries via a high quality leather sheath with spring clip.

Bohler AEB-L: Originally developed for razor blades and often described as a stainless 52100, AEB-L takes a very fine edge, is easy to sharpen and has a high toughness with good corrosion resistance and better edge holding than carbon steels. Excellent edge stability (resistance to rolling and chipping) allows for a thinner edge and better cutting performance. AEB-L is produced by Sandvik as 13C26.
