A USA Premium Blade Battle! Two Bangers face off!
This is a SUBJECTIVE comparison and not really a battle. Both of these USA Made Knives are fantastic!!
Koenig Mini Arius Flipper
*from knifecenter.com:
The Mini Arius, born from the legendary Arius design by the talented duo of TJ Schwarz and Bill Koenig, is a heavy-duty yet nimble mid-sized flipper. It serves as the ultimate sidekick for your everyday carry adventures, encapsulating everything you seek in a knife within its compact 3" blade and 4.25" closed package.
Originally produced by Millit Knives, the Mini Arius is now exclusively handcrafted in-house by Bill, showcasing his unwavering commitment to artisanal quality. Packed with features, the knife boasts a smooth flipping action facilitated by ceramic bearings. The generously sized flipper tab functions both as a practical element and a secure finger guard when the blade is deployed. For discreet openings, the thumb slot provides a silent alternative. The blade itself showcases a well-designed thumb ramp, expertly ground swedge, and drop-dead centering within the machined titanium handle. Internal lightening pockets contribute to weight reduction without compromising structural integrity.
The Mini Arius demonstrates next-level attention to detail throughout its entire design. The milled backspacer includes an integrated lanyard slot, while the pocket clip aligns seamlessly with the lockbar relief cutout. The D-shaped female pivot prevents rotational issues during adjustments, and the jimped lockbar ensures a secure grip. Its compact size strikes a perfect balance between functionality and discretion, making it the ideal companion for daily carry.

Oz Roosevelt
*from https://ozmachinecompany.com/pages/roosevelt-specs:
On base model Roosevelts, both scales, the backspacer, and the clip are made using grade 5 titanium. The scales feature large chamfers for comfort and internal milling to bring the total weight of the knife under the 3oz mark. Base models have a stonewashed blade.
We're currently using CPM MagnaCut as the blade steel. The blade features a full flat grind, ground in house. Peters' Heat Treating treats all of our blades to a hardness of 63-64 HRC (as of Roosevelt ).
The blade rides on ceramic bearings around a 1/4" pivot.
The Roosevelt features a hardened AEB-L lock insert with 2 ceramic detent balls. This distributes the lock bar tension and allows the lock bar to slide off the blade and into the locked position without dragging, preventing the "Double Click" feel.
Each Roosevelt is sequentially serialized.
This knife was designed to "spydie" flick, but will also thumb flick and slow roll with ease.
All hardware and pivot screws are titanium, supplied by TiConnector.
Base Model Roosevelts currently start at $700 plus shipping. Upgraded finishes and materials increase the price. International orders are shipped at the buyer's risk. Buyer is responsible for knowing their country/state laws and regulations.
