Benchmade 531: Great Upgrades, Excellent Light EDC!
Published: 7 years ago
A look at this Mel Pardue designed Benchmade 531, with a focus on the upgrades from its predecessor, the 530.
I really like the look of this knife, especially the Spear Point blade shape and the classy look of the stiletto design in the G10.
Functionally, the action is great, and while the ergonomics for such a thin, light knife can be a challenge, it works just fine for regular EDC tasks and then some.
If you can get this REI version I'd say go for it, but the standard version is excellent as well. With a price tag of $131 it is a bit steep, but I've found quite a few on Ebay lately at right around the $100 mark.
