Spyderco Native Chief (and unintended sprint run rant)
Published: 4 years ago
Today, I'm looking at my Spyderco Native Chief. Quite a nice piece. It's basically an elongated Native, so the leaf blade feels more slender than the Native or L'il Native. I'm always impressed by how Spyderco gets such ergonomic success when most of their knives aren't contoured.
Fully ambidextrous is a great plus for this thing. Back locks aren't for everyone I suppose, but in the right hands (like Spyderco or Cold Steel [RIP]) they're done quite well. It's a mid-back lock like most of their other offerings, making it quite easy to close the knife with one hand rather than two you'd need for a traditional back lock like the Buck 110.
Specs:
4.0" S30V blade with mm stock thickness
3.97 oz / 112.5 gram weight
0.43" handle thickness (G10)
Back Lock
Phosphor Bronze washers
