WorkSharp Precision Adjust review and Errata

Depending on the device, you may not see this description. The first half is the sharpener review. After that are some channel updates and other random items.

Alrighty, now that I've used this thing for many knives, it's time to give it a full review. A lot of it is in comparison to the KME system as it's in the same ballpark of clamp system, and I don't own a Lansky sharpening system.

Worksharp waited for quite a while to develop this thing and it shows. It has several improvements to the clamp-based sharpening systems that have been wished for by many; much like many game console manufacturers have done throughout history.

There are only a couple gripes I can come up with is the coarser stone wears out faster than I'd like when initial sharpening of knives is being done, and it would be nice to be able to break it down smaller to pack in a small area when not in use.

The stone thing is easy enough to deal with by ordering spares and replacing them. At the time of writing, they're $8 a piece and are good for ~40 knives before you really want a new one.

Me and many others have been asking them to offer additional stone options. I'd LOVE a 220-grit or a 180-grit available to establish that angle quicker.
You also need something finer than the ceramic stone for a good mirror polish. It might only be aesthetic in nature, but it looks much better. Do yourself a favor and pick up some PSA-backed lapping film in the 1-3 micron grit. They're easily found online, in hardware stores or autobody shops.
