QSP Parrot: Review & Teardown (Knife Content)

Published: 3 years ago

I didn't think I'd have quite the glowing review of this little guy as I bought it as an afterthought when ordering the Gannet and Hawk folders. This sumbich is amazing though!

Only a 3" blade, but with the trapezoidal butt end, I'm able to get a full 4 finger purchase on it. The action is amazingly smooth for it being bronze&nylon washers. Thumbstud deployment is effortless and satisfying like the CJRB Ria. And for just under $20, the price is quite good.

Got it from BladeHQ, and they still list it as using 440C on the website, but the blade and box both display D2, so they've been upgraded at some point along the way.

Outside of the liners not being skeletonized, it's hard to find fault with this thing.

Specs:
3" D2 blade with 3 mm stock thickness
3.2 oz / 91.5 gram weight
0.5" handle thickness (G10)
Liner Lock
Phosphor Bronze & Nylon washers (each side)
