Kabar Dozier Folding Hunter in D2: Review (Knife Content)

Published: 3 years ago

I, among many others, have suggested this knife for a beater/workhorse. While I was familiar with them from my time in retail, I hadn't actually owned one myself... 'til now.

This is essentially the same, other than it's in D2 steel now, with a blade & backspring coating of some form or another.

I had forgot just how aggressive the zytel handle texture is on this sucker. Gives a lot of grip, but will give a lot of calluses as well if it's not used with a firm grip.

Otherwise, it's just as I remember it. Its thumbstud isn't fully effective at deploying the blade with a flick as the backlock is a tad strong for it. Doesn't make for a fidget-masterpiece, but a very useful tool nonetheless.
