TwoSun Tuesday: TS06-CF NightMorning Design D2 Tanto (Knife Content)
Published: 3 years ago
Anotha One.
While this has a low number, it's a fairly recent variant. At least to my knowledge. This is probably one of NightMorning's first designs that TwoSun had produced, and at that time it was fully Ti. This one replaces the show-side scale for contoured weave carbon fiber.
The flat middle section of the CF though is the star of the show in my opinion. It has a bit of a matte finish to it since it keeps very shallow micro-milling lines in it. This allows the weave pattern to be quite visibly seen, but still has grip similar to a lot of G10.
It's just a touch over the next to impossible standard of 1 oz / 1 inch. That's due to it being an older design, so they didn't skeletonize the Ti framelock scale which would probably push it there.
For a 3.25" blade, the handle is very accommodating for those of us with larger meat hooks which is always a plus.
Specs:
3.25" D2 blade with 3.9 mm stock thickness
3.3 oz / 93.5 gram weight
0.50" handle thickness (Ti & CF)
Frame Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
