TwoSun Tuesday: TS114 "Aranea" - Caleb Fechner design in D2 Steel (Knife Content)
Published: 3 years ago
Just like they keep releasing them, I'll keep reviewing the ones I like.
This week is the TS114 by Caleb Fechner. Pretty young dude, which is actually something I appreciate about the company. They work with some younger and greener designers out there rather than a lot of companies that won't consider a collaboration until you've been in the industry for 30 years or so.
Interesting blade shape on this one. I guess I'd call it a Persian Harpoon or something. The handle ratio is also a bit larger on this than most, due mostly to the titanium backspacer that protects the tip as well as provides an external lanyard loop.
Specs:
3.5" D2 blade with 3.8 mm stock thickness
4.62 oz / 131 gram weight
0.56" handle thickness (G10)
Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
