TwoSun Tuesday: TS138-M390-CF "Dracula" Wong Design in M390 (Knife Content)
Published: 3 years ago
We've got ourselves another knife that locks into the hand, very similarly to the Cold Steel Tuff-Lite.
Of course it has higher end materials and a plethora of opening options to make it fun. If you're looking for a utility or "carpet" knife, this will hang with the best of them. The flipper tab is a bit long when closed (I believe the idea behind the "Dracula" name due to the fang-like protrusion), but it's functional as part of the grip when it's deployed.
They've apparently produced this is full Ti with a D2 blade, but that looks like it was phased out before I started collecting as this is the only variant I see these days.
If you're not into the thumb lugs for popping this thing open, they're easily removable that gives you a bit more hole access for spidey flicking or thumb rolling it open.
Overall, it's a pretty good knife, and one that's purpose built for utility tasks. It'll get by quite well as an EDC for sure, but I feel it's at home with construction and carpentry.
Specs:
2.97" M390 blade with 4 mm stock thickness
4.15 oz / 117.5 gram weight
0.58" handle thickness (Ti & CF)
Frame Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
