Slippy-J Sunday: TwoSun TS197 Scrimshaw Wong Design in Bone & M390 (Knife Content)
Published: 3 years ago
I have used this thing quite a bit. I utilized this for quite a while to open mail before I replaced it with the TS123. I'm quite familiar with the softness of the steel on this one. Easy to strop back, but the edge holding is on the low side.
Still, quite an attractive piece. Mine came with some of the scrimshaw ink either not taking or rubbed off. I anodized the liners to be purple 'cause I thought it was fitting, and I like how it looks quite a bit.
The downside of using bone on a screw-construction knife is that over-tightening a screw will chip or crack the bone, and I did that here. Not by much, but it's still been done.
Specs:
2.85" M390 blade with 3.4 mm stock thickness
2.66 oz / 75.5 gram weight
0.51" handle thickness (Bone)
Bronze washers
