Slippy-J Sunday? TwoSun TS241 Double-detent YX Design in CF A& S90V

Published: 3 years ago

The first in a short detour from slip joints, yet still not locking knives.

This is the YX Design (Yon Xanadu) TS241. This designer has been at "double detent" folders for a few years now, putting them out long before they started gaining popularity and models.

This also has a top flipper which keeps it out of the way when it's in your pocket. YX's top flippers always seem to be well thought out, so this is easy to open with your index finger or thumb.

We have relatively high end materials, with carbon fiber scales, titanium liners and S90V blade. This is an example of a much older TwoSun S90V that doesn't perform great. It still beats out their D2, but not by much. More recent specimens from them (probably even including this model) perform much better.

Specs:
2.7" S90V blade with 3.5mm stock thickness
1.88 oz / 53 gram weight
0.44" handle thickness (Ti)
Double-detent "lock"
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
