TwoSun Tuesday: TS182 Wong Design in CF and M390

Published: 3 years ago

This one, when I got it, was the most I had spent thus far on a TwoSun at $92.

It was the first I was introduced to their inset titanium liner lock. It's been implemented on others since, like the TS328, 241, 244, 335, etc.

This makes it quite light for how large it is. The hand-filling grip is great due to the thicc stock of CF they used for the scales.

I was very interested in it, as it was one of the first thumbstud equipped blades from them, as virtually everything else I'd seen from them was flippers. This thing also has a flipper tab, and... out of the box, it is NOT designed to use those thumb studs. The detent is way too strong for it, so it's painful to deploy that way. I'm thinking of lightening the lock pressure to make that a bit better.

This was the first M390 cut test I did with TwoSun and got 500 cuts out of it before it gave up. It's not bad, but I've also had their D2 perform a bit better. Still, it's much more stainless than D2. I've done some ano work on the clip and backspacer for gits and shiggles.
