TwoSun Tuesday: TS207 RattleSnake Design in G10 with 14C28N Blade
Published: 3 years ago
I really wanted to like these things. The blades on them are great. It's nice to see a hollow grind on a drop point and it's executed quite well. These handles though...
I don't mind the neutral shape of the handle too much, but they're not contoured much outside of topographical changes for decoration. The liner is really effective at digging into your index finger. And I'm just not a big fan of the bale situation on the back. Sure, it's pointy for tactical use, but it's painful when piercing with them as it digs in to your palm and it rides outside of the pocket when clipped.
That seems to be the conclusion I've come to with RattleSnake. Either the handles are an afterthought for them, or they don't have a great grasp on ergonomics in general. Some of their designs from Sixleaf are improved from the models they released with TwoSun, so they are improving which is good to see.
Specs:
3.54" 14C28N blade with 3.8 mm stock thickness
4.59 oz / 130 gram weight
0.68" handle thickness (G10)
Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
