TwoSun Tuesday: TS129-M390 NightMorning Design in Titanium & CF with M390 Blade

Published: 3 years ago

This thing took a little bit to grow on me. When I first got it, it was a bit smaller than I anticipated it was from the measurements I'd seen and other people's coverage of it.

The blade hole is round where you need it to flick it open with a thumb or middle finger, but it's not fully round (as that's a Spyderco trademark). This isn't much about being able to rotate the blade fully open with your thumb as that's a little less comfortable with the design. The front flipper portion works well as an additional opening method.

Handle's just a tad short. I get 3.5 or 3.75 fingers on it though, so it does feel secure. Nicely contoured on both sides and the clip doesn't bother me.

The blade is very similar to the leaf shape blades that Spyderco uses on a lot of it's knives (natives, dragonfly, shaman, chapparal, manix, etc.) which is great. It ends in a sheepsfoot tip though, but still, more similar than most.

I can see why so many people like this thing now. It isn't necessarily geared toward large hands, but luckily it works well for us too.
