ESEE Churp: RAT Design in Micarta or CF/G10 with D2 Blade (for $20)
Published: 3 years ago
Plus side, these are stupid cheap. $20 for a micarta handle and D2 blade.
The exposed round liner is strange though. Reminds me of Case and Victorinox liners that are exposed, and just about as ergonomic. However, the lock is far enough back that you can comfortably choke up ahead of it.
The pocket clip is fairly wide. I'm guessing for it to be used as a money clip which makes sense.
It's supposedly a 2-hand opener, however the micarta one I'm able to front flip open due to the more relaxed detent. The CF variant though is too strong, and it just doesn't happen.
It does contain bearings, but the action is less than stellar. Not high on the priority list when it's designed to be 2-hand operation.
Specs:
2.67" D2 blade with 2.2 mm stock thickness
2.15 oz / 61 gram weight
0.46" handle thickness (Micarta or CF/G10 laminate)
Liner Lock
Steel bearings & detent ball
