TwoSun Tuesday: TS212 Tiguass Design in Titanium With CF Inlay and D2 Blade
Published: 2 years ago
So, someone was interested in a full review of this thing, and since it's right around the same numbers as the Jelly-Jerry block I'm currently knee-deep in, I figured it'd be a good time for it.
This here is a design from Tiguass Onishiken, regardless of what the initial few eBay/Amazon listings had reported.
This is a straight-backed blade. Depending on how many utility cuts you make onto a surface, this might not be the best blade shape for you, but I still find it to be quite useful. The tip is robust without being dummy-thicc. It's not "laser beam thin" but very capable of slicing tasks.
The scales have vertical milling that has more bite than TwoSun's usual micro milling. They're not sharp, but nice and grippy. The CF inlay is unfortunately attached via adhesive. It just makes it more difficult for aftermarket anodizing though.
This is a full-size knife, but it folds up into a package that (to me) appears smaller, and more like a 3" knife which is pretty neat. Keep in mind the pocket clip will be a bit difficult to clip onto loose pockets.
Specs:
3.45" D2 blade with 3.8 mm stock thickness
3.7 oz / 105 gram weight
0.50" handle thickness (Ti & CF)
Frame Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
