Slippy-J Sunday: TwoSun TS58-NL NightMorning Design in Titanium with M390 Blade
Published: 2 years ago
Itty-bitty duder here. At first glance, I always think this is a Wong design, but it's from NightMorning (I had to re-make the thumbnail 'n everything).
This is similar to a "Higo no Kami" style Japanese friction folder. Instead of the blade tang having a protrusion on top of the scales though, this one fits inside it... Maybe not the best idea for a secure grip. If it bothers you though, the same model is made in a frame lock variant.
One of the very few TwoSuns to not ride on ceramic bearings. I think that's intentional as you don't want the blade to be hugely floppy if you're trying to keep it open. It's on brass washers. A bit different than the bronze washers most of their slipjoints use.
It's got a tall blade, but make no mistake, this thing is small. Like 2-finger small.
Specs:
1.8" M390 blade with 3.85 mm stock thickness
2.36 oz / 67 gram weight
0.50" handle thickness (Ti)
Brass Washers
