TwoSun Tuesday: TS227 "Dreadnought" Jelly-Jerry Design in Micarta with 14C28N Blade
Published: 3 years ago
Another budget model along with the Titan. This one has some thick micarta scales, and the liner is nested inside, to keep the width down. It's still not a thin boi, but proportional rather than being way too wide.
This is a pretty aggressive clip point blade. The TS261 has a similar blade shape. Cuts quite well and the fuller can provide a spidey-flick opening IF the detent isn't too strong.
It's in their "meh-carta" but it doesn't bother me much on this model. The handle is a little cramped for my hands, so normal hands will feel super comfortable with it.
I'm also assuming that the name is derived from the ship and not the guitar pattern.
Specs:
3.5" 14C28N blade with 3.7 mm stock thickness
4.31 oz / 122 gram weight
0.58" handle thickness (Micarta)
Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
