New(ish) Knives from Tiguass!

Published: 2 years ago

I have a couple of new knives from Tiguass Onishiken. I learned about the Kubey Mizo from @stellasknifeobsession and thought it looked interesting.

I'm glad I checked it out, it's an awesome little guy... emphasis on little. Happy to report that it's a full comfortable 4-finger grip for me. It's a front/top flipper. the Top flipper portion of it isn't super easy for me. Never been comfortable with the "reach around", so that's not for me, but the front flipping works great.

The CMB Kisame, from what I can tell on the website, was released in October 2021, so not too long ago from when the video was made. At this point in the future, I don't remember if I mentioned it in this video, or an unboxing, but the clip on this thing IS titanium, just not milled.

It's alright, but I do like the Mizo much more. This seems a bit like a predecessor to it. Blade tip is going to be different, with the harpoon drop point rather than the very subtle drop point of the Mizo. The action on the Kisame though, isn't great. Kind of assume it has to do with the blade coating. Also, the lockbar is quite difficult for me to deal with... enough so that I plan on carving in some access on the show side to help.
