TwoSun Tuesday: TS144 NightMorning Design in Ti Scales With D2 Blade
Published: 2 years ago
Yep, this thing is super new, despite the lower model number. TwoSun is back-filling blocks of model numbers that went unused thus far. As I point out in the video, this thing is like a mashup of the TS269 and the TS313.
It's an interesting choice to make it a steel liner lock with Ti scales, but I can't say it bothers me. I do prefer them over a frame lock that doesn't have on/inlays so I don't have to consciously figure out where my fingers can and can't be on the handle when deploying the blade.
The Geometry of the blade is luckily better than that of the TS313. They're both hollow-ground tantos, but this starts with thinner stock, and is ground thinner in both grinds. It's still not Civivi levels of thin, but much more suited to EDC tasks.
Specs:
3.73" (94.7mm) D2 blade with 3.8 mm stock thickness
4.94 oz / 140 gram weight
0.51" (13mm) handle thickness (Ti)
Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
