TwoSun Tuesday: TS342 Matrix Jelly-Jerry Design in Ti & CF with 3.52" D2 Blade
Published: 2 years ago
This is, in some ways, a larger version of the TS216 "Lovebird". It's a heck of a lot larger in fact. Still has the thumbstud and cut out for it though, and the tip isn't a secondary grind.
It also includes a front flipper which I think works well. Due to its curvature, it doesn't do well with the "reach around", but I feel like people do that when fidgeting, not when they go to deploy for cutting.
The asymmetrical scales are pretty wild in construction, so this is quite a bit more complicated than a lot of others. It's still trivial to maintain, but I can see why this is a bit more expensive than other models due to the extra manufacturing cost.
It does have a striking appearance. Between the CF, the Ti and the lightning strike ano parts, it does make a statement.
Specs:
3.52" (89.3mm) D2 blade with 3.75 mm stock thickness
5.11 oz / 145 gram weight
0.55" (14.1mm) handle thickness (Ti & CF)
Sub-Frame Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
