Trivisa Lynx 04: Wicked Wharncliffe Executed Wonderfully for About $50
Published: 2 years ago
For an impulse buy, I ended up with a banger.
Great micarta, great execution on the blade, actually has a matching micarta backspacer, handle ergonomics are decent... This thing is fantastic for being under $50.
This thing has a real needlepoint termination, so prying of any type isn't advised. It is using 14C28N though, and the toughness of that steel does come into play with the stability of that tip.
There are some different versions of the knife as well, but the micarta one comes with the coated blade. PVD of some sort. The other versions are mostly G10, and comes in a damascus blade (no clue what the base is, probably 9Cr18MoV or possibly VG10), and an S35VN blade with a titanium clip.
If you're looking for a knife to do utility cuts and you're not overly harsh on the tips of your blades, I'd highly recommend this one.
Specs:
3.6" (91.5mm) 14C28N blade with 3.05 mm stock thickness
3.56 oz / 101 gram weight
0.56" (14.3mm) handle thickness (Micarta)
Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
