TwoSun Tuesday: TS313 NightMorning Design Button Lock in Ti with 3.34" M390 Blade

Published: 2 years ago

This is the big dog. It was all the rage when it released about a year ago (as of the posting of the video). It's their first button lock to be released, and some perceived it as the first to introduce the multirow bearings (I cover that the TS321 did first in the video).

The blade geometry is oriented toward heavy use rather than delicate EDC tasks. Putting a 15 degree profile on the edge shows how high up it brings the shoulders.

Some also didn't like that the tip is almost exposed when closed, but it doesn't bother me at all. I don't have any fear that I'll poke myself with it while it's in my pocket.

Action is very nice, partially due to the heavy blade. Interestingly, it remains fully frictionless when the button is fully depressed, which doesn't happen with most other brands, despite them being built pert-near identical.

I'm not a huge fan of the thumb studs. They're designed for a slow roll and/or gloved hands rather than flicking it open. You can flick it, but it's less comfortable than their stepped studs.
