Twosun Tuesday: TS305 Mazwan Mokhtar Design in Ti & CF with 3.83" 14C28N Blade
Published: 2 years ago
Man, this thing feels like a giant tube. I don't have trouble with it turning in my hand, but it does feel like you're holding onto a wide object.
Front flipping works out alright, but I usually use the hole for deployment personally.
Action is quite good, as you'd expect from such a long blade. The geometry is also quite slicey as the blade stock is thinner than TwoSun's default and it's ground nice and thin.
I always appreciate a "clamshell" construction. It is more expensive to manufacture since you need to start with thicker sheets of metal, and it makes for a heavier piece compared to barrel spacers for sure, but it's a great compromise in my opinion. It feels much closer to an integral, but can still be easily disassembled.
Specs:
3.83" (97.3 mm) 14C28N blade with 3.2 mm stock thickness
4.88 oz / 138 gram weight
0.65" (16.5 mm) handle thickness (Ti & CF)
Sub-Frame Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
