TwoSun Tuesday: TS372 Wong Design in Ti & Brass with 3.62" D2 Blade

Published: 1 year ago

Woo! More TwoSun Tuesday goodness. Apologies for missing last week. I had the video recorded, but not edited/uploaded due to a rather harsh reaction to the latest vaccines.

I really like this thing. Its narrow blade and gentle arch remind me of the utility of the Kershaw Leek which is why I whip it out during the video.

It's a front flipper only. It doesn't have jimping at all on the flipper portion, but it doesn't pose a problem for me. I think the stonewash texture helps here. The blade contains a fuller, but it's tucked up a bit too much into the handle to be used for deployment.

It almost looks like a Higo-no-Kami blade when closed, but that top lever integrates comfortably into the handle, and it obviously locks.

The brass onlays add a ton of weight to the knife, and also make your hand smell like "metal" after use. They're bead-blasted, so they'll show snail trails pretty quickly, but that also cuts down on the patina/corrosion that will happen.

Specs:
3.62" (91.8 mm) D2 blade with 3.8 mm stock thickness
5.44 oz / 154 gram weight
0.64" (16.3 mm) handle thickness (Ti & Brass)
Sub-Frame Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
