TwoSun Tuesday: TS399 Tepe Design in Micarta with 3.37" D2 Blade (Button Lock)
Published: 1 year ago
Well, as the thumbnail says, this is for all intents and purposes, a budget version of the TS261 with a button lock. The blade is identical and I compare the two on several fronts during the video.
This is one of the two TwoSun button locks that have seized up on me… the other one being the other button lock with steel liners. Trivisa so far has been the only button lock knives with steel liners that haven’t, but it’s probably just happenstance and they’ll fail on me at some point as well, so I wouldn’t look into it much more than that.
It’s not a bad knife by any stretch of the imagination. If you like clip point blades, it’s a good one, and I highly doubt TwoSun will make another batch of the TS261; at least not using S110V steel.
Specs:
3.37" (85.6 mm) D2 blade with 3.6 mm stock thickness
4.33 oz / 123 gram weight
0.58" (14.7 mm) handle thickness (Micarta)
Button Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
