TwoSun Tuesday: TS159-Micarta Wong Design in Polished Micarta with 3.89" 14C28N Blade
Published: 1 year ago
Not quite sure what to throw in here for the description on this one. It’s slightly Persian, but much less upswept in the tip than most. It’s quite long, and the handles are very nicely contoured. This is the budget micarta version that seems much more prevalent out in the wild, but a titanium frame lock variant also exists, but good luck tracking one down.
The micarta on this guy is their older burlap-y stuff, but it’s highly polished like the TS334. It looks nicer, but doesn’t offer up much grip, especially when wet which is a nice benefit of micarta.
Still, it’s a decently designed knife and decently thin so the profile in the pocket isn’t too big.
Specs:
3.89" (98.7 mm) 14C28N blade with 3.75 mm stock thickness
4.18 oz / 118.5 gram weight
0.66" (16.7 mm) handle thickness (Micarta)
Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
