TwoSun Tuesday: TS262 Tepe Design in Carbon Fiber with 3.32" M390 Blade

Published: 1 year ago

Unfortunately, this thing seems to be difficult to track down. Looks like TwoSun didn’t pursue producing more than the first batch. I’m not sure how many were produced, but I’d assume it’s between 250 and maybe up to 500.

Kind of sad as it’s a pretty good knife all things considered. They were produced a bit before they upped their PM heat treat game, so you’re mileage will vary on edge retention. Mine seems to be around the middle of the M390 pack from Chinese makers, so nothing to complain about really, but I can’t guarantee that with others.

The blade stock thickness is straight up too thick. The geometry getting down to the secondary bevel is great, but I think it would have been better with a thickness closer to 3.2 mm. At least there’s a nicely crowned spine which they rarely do.

Front flipper works fantastically, even with very little traction from the jimping. Still, I don’t slip off of it, so that was designed amazingly. And the hole deployment is thought out as well.
