Slippy J Sunday - TwoSun TS252 2.78" Damascus Blade with Brass & Snakewood or Oxhorn Scales
Published: 1 year ago
We have an inhouse design that only comes with a damascus blade here. What’s in the damascus? Who the hell knows, virtually all companies that offer it don’t specify, but from those who have, use either 9Cr18MoV (like Civivi), or VG10 (Petrified Fish, Allvin, Sitivien, SixLeaf and others).
I’ve not had any issues with corrosion which leads me away from carbon steel damascus, which is pretty rare in folders anyway.
From my experience, it feels about in that 9Cr18MoV range of edge retention.
Happy to say that the oxhorn one I have has included a stop pin which prevents blade wrap, but the older snakewood one does not.
Specs:
2.78" ( mm) Damascus blade with 2.5 mm stock thickness
2.75 oz / 78 gram weight
0.49" (mm) handle thickness (Brass & Snakewood/Oxhorn)
Bronze Washers
