TwoSun Tuesday: TS143 NightMorning Design 2.35" D2 Blade with Ti & Micarta Construction
Published: 1 year ago
I… don’t like this one a gigantic amount. The blade shape is very similar to the TS313 button lock, but incredibly minimized in length, but doubled down on the thickness behind the edge.
I’m not particularly sure if there was an intended use for it or not. It does a great job of stabbing or puncturing holes in things, but it’s so short that it doesn’t seem useful to do so as you can easily slip out of your cut.
The construction is strange. I didn’t mention the materials being “scales” as they only overlap in small sections. They’re like a series of brackets. Ergonomically it works, but the blade geometry just doesn’t match.
Specs:
2.35" (59.8 mm) D2 blade with 3.75 mm stock thickness
2.96 oz / 84 gram weight
0.60" (15.2 mm) handle thickness (Ti & Micarta)
Nested Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
